This is the most affordable way to have an alcohol detox, and much less than residential rehab. An alcohol home detox needs to be monitored properly from start to finish, and we offer this. The main reason is this is. If a client does not get enough medication, they will go into withdrawal. And likewise if they get too much medication, this can also bring on withdrawal. The process of our alcohol home detox
- The first stage is obviously to call us on Tel: 07811 606 606. We will then do an assessment with the client, to make sure it is safe for them to have an alcohol home detox. What we mean by this is. The client is not hearing voices, or the client is not suicidal etc. The clients safety is the most important part of the whole alcohol detox with us.
- The second stage is a video consultation with the client, and who is ever living with the client during their alcohol detox period. This is with our nurse to make sure everyone knows what is happening, and how it all works.
- Thirdly we will then send the medication or script from our medical centre, to the clients local chemist. This can then be collected immediately by whoever is looking after the client, if they wish to start their alcohol home detox the same day. If not, they can collect it at their own convenience.
- The final stage is to let the nurse know you have your detox medication, and the alcohol detox can start.
- Our detox nurse will then call you a minimum of 4x a day. This is the medication times. The nurse is always available, and you will have their direct mobile number at all times, if you need them. Plus we are also available 24/7
- Over a period of 7 to 12 days depending on the client (the price stays the same however long it takes) our nurse will slowly reduce the medication until the alcohol is completely out of the clients system.
Aftercare
After the client has been detoxed. We are always here if the client feels they may want to relapse. If this happens, call us right away, and we will help the client through it. The have processes in place to stop a client from relapsing. After all, it would be a great shame to go through an alcohol home detox, only to relapse afterwards.
